Dr Jack R Dale

Dr Jack R Dale is a Specialist Occupational & Environmental Physician with an ongoing interest and experience in pain management, mental illness and neuropsychiatry, particularly as they pertain to Occupational Medicine.

Dr Dale studied an undergraduate degree in Medical Science at Flinders University before studying a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, also at Flinders. He began his practice as an intern at the Royal Hobart Hospital and then worked as Registrar in Psychiatry and later Pain Medicine.

Dr Dale has specialised in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Health and a Certificate in Clinical Occupational Medicine from Monash University and a Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.



Academic Affiliations

Dr Dale teaches musculoskeletal medicine and occupational medicine in case-based learning lectures at the University of Tasmania.

He is also a member of:
Australian and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine (ANZSOM)
International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP)
Australian Society for Psychological Medicine (ASPM), and
Academy of Organizational and Occupational Psychiatry (AOOP)



Other Interests

Dr Dale has a strong interest in languages, speaking native level English and Spanish. He also has an intermediate level of Welsh, Portuguese and German.

Dr Dale also enjoys music, including writing music for small chamber groups and choirs.
